Safety is a Tool for Life
Safety is an absolute key part of the culture at Summit/Catamount Construction. We are committed to conforming all of our jobsites to 100% VOSHA compliant worksites. This includes not only our employees, but also subcontractors, vendors and owners representatives on site.
Summit/Catamount firmly believes safety starts with every employee. We empower our employees and challenge them to keep the safest worksites possible. We provide constant training and education to all our employees.
The company has developed a comprehensive safety program. In addition to our company safety manual, we have implemented over time the following additional safety programs in our company:
- Weekly onsite safety meetings for all employees and subs.
- A weekly safety inspection – every jobsite does a weekly self safety inspection to ensure the site is VOSHA compliant and safe of hazards.
- Safety Committee – the company safety committee is responsible for the direction of day to day safety throughout the company. The committee is comprised of, Superintendents, Carpenters, Laborers, Administrative and Senior Management. We feel it is extremely important that all levels of the company have input in the overall program.
- AGC Safety Committee Member – Christopher Ladabouche, CEO
- Project Worksafe voluntary VOSHA inspections.
- Random worksite safety inspections through our safety committee, AGC and a third party safety consultant.
- New Hire Safety Orientation.
- Site Specific Safety Programs for all jobs.
